02 Accessibility Features Measures implemented across all GFS digital properties
Skip Navigation Links
Every page includes a "Skip to content" link visible on keyboard focus, allowing users to bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to main content.
Implemented
Full Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements -- buttons, links, form inputs, menus, and modal dialogs -- are fully operable via keyboard. Focus order follows logical reading sequence.
Implemented
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, labels, and live regions ensure compatibility with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. All images include descriptive alt text.
Implemented
Color Contrast Compliance
All text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Our primary palette was designed with accessibility as a constraint.
Implemented
Reduced Motion Support
Users with vestibular disorders can enable "prefers-reduced-motion" in their OS settings. All animations and transitions are suppressed or simplified accordingly.
Implemented
Focus Visible Indicators
Custom high-visibility focus rings on all interactive elements. Focus indicators use a 2px blue outline with 3px offset, visible against all backgrounds.
Implemented
Semantic HTML Structure
Proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6), landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and lists. Content is logically structured for assistive technology navigation.
Implemented
Accessible Data Tables
All data tables include proper headers, scope attributes, and captions. Complex tables use aria-describedby for context. Sortable columns announce state changes.
Implemented
Dark Mode Support
System-wide dark mode with maintained contrast ratios. All color combinations re-tested in dark theme to ensure AA compliance is preserved across both modes.
Implemented
■ All features are tested across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, iOS, and Android.

04 Known Limitations Areas where we are actively working to improve accessibility
  • 1
    Interactive Chart Tooltips
Some data visualization tooltips on ECharts-based dashboards may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide alternative data tables for all chart data.
    Remediation target: Q3 2026
  • 2
    PDF Document Accessibility
Some older PDF documents generated before May 2026 may not be fully tagged for screen reader navigation. New documents are generated with proper PDF/UA tagging.
    Legacy document remediation: Ongoing
  • 3
    Complex Data Table Sorting
Sort state changes on interactive tables with many columns may not always announce correctly in all screen reader and browser combinations. Column sort is available via keyboard.
    Remediation target: Q2 2026
  • 4
    Third-Party Embedded Content
Some embedded content from third-party services (maps, payment forms) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We work with vendors to improve compliance.
    Vendor review cycle: Quarterly
■ We maintain an internal accessibility backlog and prioritize issues by user impact.
